After a long wait, we finally found the northbound train of B&LE empties, and caught them pulling north through Carter interlocking as fresh snow is kicked up by the power. We could hear the sound of EMD 645 prime movers for 10 mintues before this train arrived - magic! |

The train had work to do enroute north, and was delayed. Therefore, it needed a new crew at Greenville, and the DS decided to change crews at the shops - so we caught a rare move of a full train on the older 'low' main through downtown Greenville. Here the head end passes an old Coca-Cola advertisement on the "Greenville Shoe Hospital" while it begins to cross Main Street. |
