This train will pass through Victorville and Barstow on BNSF, then diverge at Daggett and follow the LA&SL through Afton Canyon, ower Cima Hill, on its way to Salt Lake City. The tracks to the right are the Palmdale Cutoff, a route built by SP in the 1960's to allow direct access for SP between Mojave and the LA Basin. That route is now owned by UP. |
