Former Rio Grande Power on the Former Rio Grande
Title:  Former Rio Grande Power on the Former Rio Grande
Description:  The Provo Turn idles at Sandy Yard, awaiting a crew to take it south for the evening's work. Nice to see a former D&RGW GP35 on the former D&RGW, even nicer that it is painted for Rio Grande's long-time parter.

Bridges!
Title:  Bridges!
Description:  NS rail train 93A rolls east across the Conemaugh River just south of the Conemaugh Dam near Blairsville, PA, in sweet light! The train is also crossing the old alignment of the PRR Conemaugh Line, relocated during the dam construction. My first ever moving train on the Conemaugh Line, and with a nice blue sky, it's hard to believe that tomorrow will bring several feet of snow to the area.

Life in Hollidaysburg
Title:  Life in Hollidaysburg
Description:  Once famous for the massive PRR/PC/Conrail car shops, Hollidaysburg is much quieter now. The shops are shut down except for a few smaller tenants, and miles of yard track are abandoned or used for long-term car storage during the recession. There is still a consignee, however; here the NS Cove Secondary turn from Altoona has come to town to serve the customer. The train is returning to Altoona and passing the old U.S. Hotel in Hollidaysburg.

NS 11K
Title:  NS 11K
Description:  If I'd known that the first two trains I'd shoot when I went digital would be led by an SD40-2 and a GP38-2, consecutively, I'd have done it a while ago :-) Today's 11K is an Altoona-Conway job with a consist an EMD fan like me can appreciate!

Former D&H
Title:  Former D&H
Description:  CP 7307 leads train 550 north into East Binghamton Yard later the same day. Part of me likes the CP red, part wishes it were still painted for the D&H!
