Keeping things open
Title:  Keeping things open
Description:  NS dispatchers ran light helpers back and forth in an attempt to keep the mainline open for business. The 6303 shows the full effects of winter railroading in heavy snow, even with a wave from the cab!

Back at the Ledge
Title:  Back at the Ledge
Description:  After a 16-year hiatus, we ventured back to the famous 'Ledge' just west of Horseshoe Curve via a hike up the embankment from Glen White Run. Shortly after, we were treated to a show: heavy NS 65J came west on Track 3 with 4 conventional EMD's, and was run around right in front of us by the faster 21G on Track 2, at 1:42 p.m. WOW.

Mountain Railroading
Title:  Mountain Railroading
Description:  Normally I don't put images like this on the web, but the sheer power of 2 SD40-E's, a GP38-2, and a high-hood SD40-2 all solidly locked in Run-8, while being blasted past by Dash-9's, was too awesome not to present here. Yup, this is mountain railroading, and I'll be back here again.

NS 11K
Title:  NS 11K
Description:  If I'd known that the first two trains I'd shoot when I went digital would be led by an SD40-2 and a GP38-2, consecutively, I'd have done it a while ago :-) Today's 11K is an Altoona-Conway job with a consist an EMD fan like me can appreciate!
