NS curtailed most of their operations over the New Years Holiday in 2009/2010. This set of helpers heads for the crew's home base of Altoona as their shift ends on New Years Eve. The snow has let up and the effects of the storm are evident on the trees of western Pennsylvania. This was the last train movement I saw in 2009, nice that it had a blue leader...evidentally, the LAST blue SD40-2 in the helper pool! Ironic. |
